Im going to be heading out for te weekend to attend Animeland Tucon [link] If your not already going, you should definatley come support the con :)

Anyway, Im going to be there to judge the masquerade and help out with a lolita and cosplay 101 panel if anyone wants to see me, cause Im famous like that XD

Going to be debuting two new costumes there, Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop, and San from Princess Mononoke. San is more of a test drive than a full thing right now. Still working on the cloak and all her fancy props and acessories. So look for plenty of awsome new pics with my favorite Spike ever :icontoshimustgrind:

Hi.
I was wondering if you could tell me how to go about altering boots for a costume?
I'm helping out a friend who is going for the look of Harley Quinn in Arkham Asylum.

[link] here is a great tutorial on bootcovers, the site also has great tutorials for stretch bootcovers. I'd suggest getting ahold of a vinyl or pleather fabric, a stretchy one if you can get it to not be to shiny. The use that tutorial for the basic shapes. then i'd draft the extra shapes outtof a fabric of a similar weight to your final fabric, then sew it all together and put it on the shoe. Because that boot has a large sole, i'd just glue to cover on around where the boot meets the sole, if that makes sense. If you can find a cloth shoe with the right type of sole on it, you could sew the bootcovers on instead of glue. If you need any more help feel free to send me a note :)
